What is Unnatural Horsemanship?®

I call what I do Un-natural Horsemanship because there is nothing natural about horsemanship!
A authentic natural horse lives in a herd and spends his time eating, drinking, resting, making baby horses, and evading predators - humans are not part of the program.

Unnatural Horsemanship is built on the understanding that horses aren't intended to be handled, ridden, and cared for by people.  Nonetheless, we love horses and want these extraordinary animals in our lives.  It's a amazing and enjoyable experience for us.  Why not make it an equally enjoyable and beneficial experience for our horses?

We can with horse-centric management techniques and training methods that optimize the horse's emotional and physical well-being.   The healthier and happier the horse the more able and willing he can be.  We reach our goals by improving our horse's quality of life.

Horses were born to roam the land, fend for themselves, and interact within their community of herd members.  Respecting the horse's true nature is the perfect starting point for creating a successful and rewarding horse-human experience.
